Role Description:
As a Storage Architect at Ubisoft Montréal, you will design and guide storage solutions aligned with the company's technology strategy and business needs. You will support engineering teams by providing clear vision, scalable architectures, and structured technical recommendations. The Storage Architect role directly influences long-term infrastructure decisions for both on-premises environments and cloud services.

What You Will Do:

• Define long-term storage strategies in line with organizational objectives
• Evaluate new technologies, conduct proofs of concept, and provide documented recommendations
• Design and maintain storage architectures for data centers and cloud environments
• Write technical documentation, produce architecture diagrams, presentations, and prototypes
• Simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
• Guide engineering teams on architectural choices and implementation
• Promote knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within teams
• Ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, and reliability requirements

Qualifications:

• Strong mastery of software storage technologies, including NFS, SMB, S3, Ceph or equivalents
• Proven ability to design complex storage architectures for on-premises and cloud environments
• Good knowledge of data protection strategies and disaster recovery, including backup and replication
• Experience in infrastructure automation and infrastructure-as-code using tools like Git, Ansible or Chef
• Understanding of storage security best practices, including encryption and access control mechanisms
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to work closely with infrastructure, applications, and security teams
• Intellectual curiosity and interest in evolving storage technologies
