Job Description:

The Esports Community Developer strengthens the bonds between Rainbow Six Esports, our professional player community, and all our esports fans. This role sits at the intersection of esports, community, and writing; it shapes how we communicate with pros and fans, build trust over time, and turn structured feedback into clear actions and messages.

You will be responsible for key programs and feedback loops for professional R6 Esports players while leading the editorial production of esports content such as blog articles, community updates, and video scripts in close collaboration with our production and publishing partners. You will act as a trusted expert, advise leadership, mentor colleagues, and represent the voice of esports professionals and audiences internally.

What You Will Do:

Responsibility within the pro player community:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for Rainbow Six Esports professional players regarding game issues, Ubisoft account matters, and high-priority escalations.
• Establish and maintain trusting relationships with professional players across regions, cultures, and individual needs.
• Support studio activities involving pro players, such as structured playtests, workshops, feedback sessions, or similar initiatives.
• Provide VIP-level support as needed, including coordinating issue reporting, triage, and follow-up with internal teams.

Pro player feedback loops and stakeholder reporting:

• Manage pro player feedback loops in collaboration with development and production teams, ensuring information is gathered, structured, and translated into actionable recommendations.
• Provide regular reports on pro player sentiment, key discussion topics, friction points, risks, and proposed actions.
• Facilitate alignment among internal stakeholders, ensuring communications with pro players and status updates are consistent and accurate.

Editorial leadership and content for esports audiences:

• Oversee and drive the editorial implementation of esports content, including in-depth blog articles, competitive scene news, ecosystem guides, and community guides.
• Write scripts and narrative plans for video content, such as explainer videos, news formats, and community-focused segments.
• Create tactical guides and strategy manuals to enhance retention, engagement, and loyalty of esports fans and competitive audiences, both in-game and out-of-game.
• Collaborate with publishing and production teams to develop content plans that support brand strategy and seasonal priorities.
• Ensure content is clear, accurate, and aligned with the overall esports ecosystem messaging.

Qualifications:

• Deep knowledge of community processes and procedures, including managing sensitive topics with discretion and professionalism.
• Strong editorial judgment and excellent writing skills, with the ability to transform complex esports and gaming topics into clear, structured content.
• Expertise in content creation processes and social media management tools.
• Solid understanding of data analysis and interpretation, and the ability to effectively communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Ability to thrive in evolving environments, quickly adapt to new priorities, and demonstrate a strong sense of ownership.
• Proven experience in managing esports communities, professional player relations, editorial content, communication, or similar roles.
• Demonstrated ability to write and publish high-quality content, including long-form articles, scripts, and structured updates.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and proven experience coordinating among multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable interacting with professional players and internal partners.
• Proactive, solution-oriented, capable of managing multiple work streams with a strong sense of organization and follow-up.
