Ubisoft HQ Production is looking for a Data Scientist to join the Canada Analytics Team (CAT). The main mission of this team is to create the best gaming experiences by placing player behaviors and motivations at the center of the design process. As a Data Scientist, you will work directly with game production teams to create innovative solutions, automate processes, improve game systems, and generate relevant insights.

You will work closely with the Rainbow Six Siege Game Security team to identify and solve their specific challenges, supporting them throughout their operations, proposing data-driven solutions, and enhancing their understanding of the possibilities offered by data science. This will involve designing, testing, and deploying machine learning models and applying data science and algorithms to improve the security of our gaming systems.

What you will do:

• Contribute to significant data science projects from problem definition to delivery.
• Develop, deploy, evaluate, and improve detection model performance.
• Perform advanced analyses and identify key elements to support strategy and guide decision-making.
• Collaborate with production teams to understand their challenges and identify automation opportunities.
• Translate your findings into visualizations and present your results and recommendations.
• Create and research new methodologies tailored to the specific nature of video games.
• Collaborate with other cross-functional data expert teams and position yourself as a reference within your game production, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Experience in developing and deploying machine learning models and data manipulation.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Knowledge of the video game industry.
• Flexibility in work organization, able to adapt to changes and manage a variety of tasks.
• Effective cross-department communication: ability to interact with all disciplines and simplify complex information for different audiences.
• Highly collaborative mindset, with a desire to share knowledge and help others develop their skills.
• Motivation to innovate in the video game industry and adapt to its constantly evolving pace.

Assets:

• Hands-on experience in fraud and price manipulation detection and prevention.
• Experience with PySpark and Databricks.
• Knowledge of online multiplayer games.
