Ubisoft HQ Production is seeking a Data Scientist to join the Canada Analytics Team (CAT). The primary mission of this team is to create the best gaming experiences by placing player behaviors and motivations at the center of the design process. As a Data Scientist, you will work directly with game production teams to build innovative solutions, automate processes, improve game systems, and generate relevant learnings.

You will collaborate closely with the Rainbow Six Siege Game Security team to identify and solve their specific challenges, supporting them throughout their operations, proposing data-driven solutions, and strengthening their understanding of the possibilities offered by data science. This will involve designing, testing, and deploying machine learning models, and applying data science and algorithmics to enhance the security of our game systems.

What You Will Do:

• Contribute to significant data science projects, from problem definition to delivery.
• Develop, deploy, evaluate, and enhance the performance of detection models.
• Perform advanced analyses and identify key insights to support strategy and inform decision-making.
• Collaborate with production teams to understand their challenges and spot automation opportunities.
• Translate your findings into visualizations and present your results and recommendations.
• Create and research new methodologies tailored to the specific nature of video games.
• Work with other cross-functional data expert teams, positioning yourself as a reference in your game production by fostering knowledge sharing and best practices.

Qualifications:
What You Bring:

• Experience in developing and deploying machine learning models and manipulating data.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Knowledge of the video game industry.
• Flexibility in work organization, able to adapt to changes and manage a variety of tasks.
• Effective cross-department communication: ability to interact with all disciplines and simplify complex information for different audiences.
• Highly collaborative mindset with a desire to share knowledge and help others develop their skills.
• Motivation to innovate in the video game industry and adapt to its constantly evolving pace.

Assets:

• Hands-on experience in fraud detection and price manipulation prevention.
• Experience with PySpark and Databricks.
• Knowledge of online multiplayer games.
