The Data Analyst role consists primarily of collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to provide actionable insights and product intelligence. Working with the product and technical teams, you will help measure adoption and usage of the Quality Foundation products to best understand usage patterns and support the developer experience.
Specifically, you will analyze performance data (PAP, Telemetry), stability and quality data (Bloomberg), and data aimed at improving productivity and efficiency of production and engine developers (DocGPT, Square).
You will contribute year-round to the data collection strategy and be involved in discussions around the Quality Foundation data infrastructure and the implementation of ETL processes.
This multidisciplinary role will allow you to have a global impact on the entire Data and Business process, directly influencing QF roadmaps with the performance indicators you define and track. It is aimed at profiles who want to have both a technical and business impact.
What you’ll do:
- Synthesize, transform, and analyze data related to our products from various sources.
- Clearly communicate your analyses to technical and non-technical audiences and translate them into concrete action plans.
- Identify and define key performance indicators (KPIs), aligning them with the overall objectives of production, engine, partner teams, and QF product management.
- Implement regular reporting mechanisms to track KPIs and help decision-makers make informed choices.
- Continuously adjust and refine KPIs according to evolving usage and organizational needs.
- Deploy tools and systems to automate data collection and tracking.
- Conduct in-depth analyses and create Power BI dashboards, reports, and presentations to share results and contribute to data-driven storytelling.
- Collaborate with product and technical teams to clarify and quantify the impact of initiatives on production, engine, and partner teams.
- Work with the Data experts in the team to build a coherent strategy and develop your domain expertise.
Qualifications:
What you bring:
- Experience in a related field (business intelligence, statistics, mathematics, economics), ideally in an analytical role.
- Proficiency in SQL query writing and data exploration (Snowflake, MSSQL, Databricks, etc.).
- Proficiency in BI visualization tools, notably Power BI (primary) and Tableau.
- Strong autonomy and ability to drive projects quickly.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables).
- Ability to use data to guide strategic decisions.
- Analytical mindset, curiosity, and fast learning capacity.
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders, including presenting to diverse audiences.
- Collaborative spirit and proven cross-functional teamwork experience.
- Rigor, organization, and comfort with technical documentation.
Complementary skills:
- Knowledge of Spark, Python, and/or R.
- Experience with ETL processes.
- Experience with Databricks.
- Degree in a technical or quantitative discipline (data science, mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering).
