Position Description:

As a Cloud Developer at Ubisoft Montreal, you will participate in the design and evolution of a Kubernetes-managed platform to strengthen the reliability, scalability, and security of our infrastructure. You will join a collaborative team that values shared responsibility, open communication, and continuous improvement. In this Cloud Developer role, you will work closely with various teams to deliver cloud-native solutions supporting our games and online services.

What You Will Do:

• Ensure the maintenance, upgrades, and lifecycle management of the components of our large-scale internal Kubernetes platform
• Design, develop, test, and deploy Kubernetes operators and tools based on Go
• Collaborate with DevOps, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure reliable and secure platform operations
• Build and maintain features that improve the scalability, performance, and resilience of Kubernetes-managed services
• Apply security best practices and contribute to compliance across the platform
• Partner with product managers and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Contribute to planning, estimation, and prioritization with project managers and team leads
• Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, and support a collaborative team culture
• Analyze and resolve production incidents while proposing continuous system improvements
• Stay up-to-date on cloud-native technologies and best practices in the Kubernetes ecosystem and participate in on-call rotations

Qualifications:

What You Bring to the Team:

• Demonstrated ability to operate and maintain Kubernetes platforms using GitOps practices with tools like Argo CD
• Hands-on experience building operators and tools in Go, with clean and maintainable code
• Proficiency in automation and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or equivalent
• Ability to set up and maintain continuous integration and deployment pipelines using tools like GitLab
• Practical experience in containerization and orchestration, including Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience implementing observability and monitoring solutions with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and ELK
• Ability to write effective unit tests for Go applications and follow good testing practices
• Knowledge of deploying and operating workloads on cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
• Ability to collaborate effectively in Agile development environments
