As AI Animation Team Lead, you will guide a small team responsible for delivering high-quality animations to support the creation of NPC systems for Far Cry. You will oversee daily task management, ensure animation quality, and contribute to integrating animation into our production pipelines. Your role will also include supporting the Project Lead (PL), Production Managers (PM), and Animation Director, mentoring team members, preparing and monitoring mocap shoots, and continuously improving animation quality and team efficiency.

What you will do:

• Collaborate with the PL and PMs to prioritize, assign, and track tasks to meet production deliverables and objectives.
• Support the Animation Director by reviewing animations and ensuring consistency and alignment with the project vision.
• Lead team meetings as needed, communicate progress, and escalate risks or blockers to production managers.
• Organize recurring one-on-ones with employees for task follow-up, career development, and annual reviews.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers to develop the game's NPC features.
• Coach team members on artistic and technical aspects of animation and AI workflows in the Snowdrop engine.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in video game animation.
• Relevant experience in animation and team management.
• Strong understanding of animation principles, game engines, production pipelines, and their constraints.
• Proficiency in animation software (preferred: MotionBuilder).
• Excellent communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with motion capture workflows.
• Knowledge of game production engines, tools, and pipelines.
